When diluted in water, it is used to treat fruits and vegetables to maintain firmness, reduce decay, and prevent certain diseases. It can also be used in the treatment of frozen food as a secondary refrigerant or immersion freezing fluid. BRINERS CHOICETM<\/span> calcium chloride pellets are manufactured in accordance with the US Food and Drug Administration\u2019s (FDA\u2019s) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
